Where will we go today?

INDOORS ACTIVITIES: 1. Children Castle(kodomo no shiro) Tue-Fri 12:30-17:30 Sat-Sun & holidays 10:00-17:30 7 floors complex full of great activities for children and toddlers. (crafts, music, computers, toys). Adults admission ticket 500\, free admission for one child under 6. Located on Aoyama dori toward Shibuya station from Omotesando dori. Closest to Omotesando station exit 2. 2. Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Hall 3 floors building with activities for toddlers. Admission is FREE. 7min walk from Shibua station and few minutes walk from the Children Castle.(If you come from Omotesando crossing,turn right at the first corner after the Children Castle and walk about 500m ahead. The children's Hall will be on the right side of the road.). 3. An impressive and rich aquarium. Ikebukuro station on the Yamanote line or Higashi-ikebukuro station on the Yurakucho subway line. A walking distance from both stations. 5. Transportation museum Original vehicles and models of all sorts of means of transportation on land, on sea and on air. 5 minutes walk from Kanda subway station on ginza line, exit 6. 6. Sakura Horikiri Washi Sore This store offers Washi(Japanese paper)craft classes that will teach you how to assemble the washi craft kits they sell. You can have a free lesson and assemble 1 kit per day. 10% discount sale on the last Sat of each month. Very enjoyable! Asakusabashi subway station on Toei-Asakusa line, exit A3. Cross the big street in front of the station and turn left. At the end of one block turn right. The store is at the second intersection across the street on the left.

Parks, Amusement parks

Amusement Parks 1.Tokyo Disneyland Tel:(03)3366-5600 Take the Tozai subway line to Urayasu station and follow the sign to Disneyland bus station.(bus ticket costs 200 yen). Or take the Yurakucho subway line to Shinkiba station and the JR Keiyo line to Maihama station which is right outside the main gate. Or take the Keio line all the way from Tokyo station. A variety of tickets are available including an all-inclusive passport that gives unlimited access to all rides: Adults:4800 yen Children 12-17:4400 yen Children 4-11:3300 yen. 2.Yokohama hakkeijima Sea-Paradise Tel:(045)788-8888 Take the Keihin-Kyuko line to Kanazawa-hakkei station, change to Kanazawa Seaside line and get off at Hakkeijima. Entry is free but rides and entertainments cost 500-1000 yen. Parks and Gardens 1. Yoyogi Koen Lawns scattered with trees, good place for picnics and ball playing. Bicycles available free for 30 min for children under 15. bicycle stand is near the Sangubashi gate entrance to Yoyogi park. Meiji-jingu-mae subway station on Chiyoda line. 2. Shinjuku gardens(Shinjuku gyoen) Western stle park and beautiful Japanese style gardens. The lawns can be used for picnics. Shinjuku-gyoen-mae subway station on Marunouchi line. 3. Ueno park The park has a zoo, acquarium, the National Science museum and several art museums. Ueno subway station on Hibiya line. 4. Arisugawa A Japanese style garden with pond, ducks, bridges, trees and rocks. A playground section with swings, slides, sand box(if it can be called sand...) for small ones. A wide space for boy playing and bicycles riding. hiroo subway station on Hibiya line, exit 1. 5. Kitanomaru park (koen) Large grassy lawns, a lake, bushes, trees and walking paths. Within the park grounds there is the science museum. Take Tozai subway line to Takebashi or Kudanshita stations.
